Another day, another tough loss
For the second consecutive day and game, July 2, Post 334 battled to the wire only to come up short in the seventh inning — this time 6-4 to the Las Vegas Durangos.
Post 334 entered the seventh tied 3-3 with the Durangos, but starting pitcher Alex Williams was tagged for three runs. Post 334 countered in the last of the seventh with a lead off homer by Tony Remund, his second of the tournament, then a hard line shot up the gap by Devin Croal which was caught.
The team, which faces Missoula and host team Post 22 in its Friday games of the Rapid City Firecracker tournament, July 3, was still playing strong baseball in a renaissance of sorts after a very slow start to the 2009 summer season.
