End-of-the-regular-season notes, items
As Post 334 prepared for the sub-District (North Hennepin league playoffs), here are some notes and news from the regular-season.
•Final regular season record: 26-15 through July 20.
•Mike McMahon won the annual “Slow Mans’ race” in Jamestown for a second straight year. He is now the only two-time owner of the team’s slowest baserunner with a chance to make it three straight in 2009.
•Post 334’s special Jamestown tournament uniform was orange this summer and featured Autism Awareness. The players also wore various colored head bands and bandannas as part of the uniforms in a game against Watertown.
•In the championship game of the Jamestown tournament, Preston Ghizoni was hit by pitch a record four times in six plate appearances.
•Team’s stats leaders through 41 games….
