Post 334 has a not-so-good welcome home
Mike Latta’s two-run single in the last of the first provided all the runs Post 334 scored in its first game back home at Wintercrest West in two weeks against North Hennepin League rival Centennial.
And two runs in the end were not enough in a 6-2 loss.
The game was tied 2-2 with two out in the top of the seventh when a stolen base and a bloop two-strike Centennial single opened a door that Post 334 pitcher Cody Beam had pretty much barred shut throughout the evening. Not only did it break the tie, but led to an onslaught that did not end until four Centennial runs had been plated.
