Another 5-4 late-inning loss
Still struggling to find timely hits, the Post 334 ball club lost its second straight 5-4 decision Monday night (June 23) to North Hennepin League rival Maple Grove.
Post 334 had a 2-0 lead on singles by Cody Beam and Cory Miller in the first and second innings. Maple Grove took a 3-2 lead in the third, but Post 334 tied the game in the fourth on a wild pitch. After falling behind 4-3, Post 334 tied the game in the top of the sixth on Andy Evans’ sacrifice fly to right, but Maple Grove countered with a run via a sacrifice fly in the last of the sixth to take the lead for a final time, then the game…
